Bangalore has yet another swanky office to add to its growing list. [24] 7, one of the world’s largest providers of chat agents, has set up a spanking new office in the city.
The office is spread over 4.5 lakh square feet and can house 7,000 employees.
The decor is understated, but little dashes of colour pop up in unexpected places. Unlike most offices which favour carpeting, the public areas in [24] 7’s office are gleaming white marble.
The solid wooden table provides a welcome break from lego colours that most modern offices sport. The low-hanging lamps accentuate the sophisticated feel.
This room is dedicated to music, with hanging guitars, record labels and portraits of Jagjit Singh, Michal Jackson, and Elvis. The bulbs are, quite delightfully, in the shape of little hanging microphones.
Such style doesn’t come cheap. The office reportedly cost Rs. 300 crore to build.
[24] 7 already has an office in Hyderabad that can accommodate 1000 employees. “While we are certainly leading the way in terms of delivering value and outcomes to our customers at over 2.5 billion times a year, the new delivery centre in Bangalore will play an important role in our future growth,” [24]7 co-founder and CEO PV Kannan said.
