Six HSBC Employees Fired After Team Outing

Team outings usually end with some laughs, greater understanding of your teammates, and making some new friends. That wasn’t the case when HSBC took its employees on a day out at Teamworks Karting track in Birmingham. Six employees were fired soon after for making an inappropriate video during the event.

The 6 tried recreating one of the ISIS executions that have shocked people across the world. In the video, five men wearing balaclavas surround an Asian man dresssed in an orange jumpsuit, who is on his knees. A man then shouts Allah-u-akbar (God is great), while the others ululate. Laughter can be heard in the background.

The video was initially posted on Instagram but subsequently taken down.

The ISIS execuations are a sensitive issue in the UK, with several citizens having been publicly murdered by the Islamic outfit.

HSBC responded by immediately firing the employees, who were a part of its legal division. “This is an abhorrent video and HSBC would like to apologize for any offense caused.”, the company said in a statement.
