ChatGPT though has had a dream run in the last couple of years. After being launched in late 2022, it had become the fastest product ever to reach 100 million users. Not long after, it had broken into the list of top 10 websites in the world, which is dominated by legacy players which are all at least a decade old. It had been in the eighth position n in 2024, reached the 6th spot in January 2024, and is now at the fifth place, and still quickly climbing up the ranks. And ChatGPT’s rise in popularity shows how quickly AI is becoming mainstream — and being used by people all around the world.
