Grok4 hasn’t just smashed AI benchmarks, but it’s also won praise from some of the top names in business.
Top CEOs have hailed the performance of Grok4 after its release. Among the first to congratulate Elon Musk after the Grok4 benchmarks were published was Google CEO Sundar Pichai. “Congrats on the launch, impressive progress!” Pichai responded to Musk when he’d shared the link to the launch livestream.

Even more effusive praise came from Epic Games founder and CEO Tim Sweeney. “Grok 4 feels like Artificial General Intelligence to me. It is clearly not just constructing statistically likely connections, but is drawing fairly deep insights on problems it hasn’t seen before, in ways I haven’t seen elsewhere,” he posted on X.
Sweeney also had some feedback for Musk. “The biggest shortcoming I see is the adoption of confused musings from online forums as facts, coupled with the inability to derive deep insights from intermingled prose and graphics in sources. It needs contextual skepticism and more multimodal visual learning. Also, I bet there are 100,000’s of topics where a human professional could write a definitive guidebook on topics that online forum posters frequently confuse, and that could be used to fine-tune a lot of the low quality user content driven nonsense out of current AI models,” Sweeney said. Musk replied to the feedback saying “100%”.
Intercom CEO Eoghan McCabe marveled at Musk’s productivity. “Elon Musk is such a fucking beast. I’m not even a pure fanboy anymore. But how the fuck does he come out of nowhere, with a cold start, late to the game, and ship Grok 4? And do it alongside everything else he’s up to. He’s literally magnitudes above every founder. It’s humbling,” he posted on X.
Paytm CEO Vijay Shekhar Sharma compared Musk to Brahma, the creator in the Hindu trinity. “Elon is Brahma of modern world!” he posted on X in response to a post that had talked about all the companies that Musk had created.
Grok4 had been released yesterday, and had moved to the top of most benchmarks, beating Google and OpenAI. xAI’s achievement had been even more impressive because the company is less than two years old, and had released its first model just a year ago. In comparison, Google has been working on AI for more than a decade, and OpenAI was founded a decade ago. But Elon is known for pulling out rabbits out of hats like this, and with xAI, his magic touch is clearly still going strong.
