AI agents are just beginning to pop up around the internet, but they might become a lot more ubiquitous in the years to come.
Recently, on the No Priors podcast, GitHub CEO Thomas Dohmke shared a compelling vision of the future, where humans interact with a multitude of AI agents, acting as the conductor of their own personalized digital orchestra. Dohmke’s perspective, rooted in both technological advancement and personal experience as the son of engineers, offers a glimpse into how AI could fundamentally reshape human capabilities and learning. Dohmke elaborates on this concept: “I listen to that – the orchestra of agents – and you’re the conductor of that orchestra of agents. And they know how to do that, and so they can achieve in the same amount of time so much more than we could, you know, in the last three years,” he adds.
He connects this vision to a common developer experience: “Find me a developer that doesn’t have this big idea of that computer game or software system or feature that they always wanted to build and don’t have the time for. I definitely agree with that excitement and optimism.”
