India’s attacks on terrorist establishments in Pakistan are leading to comments by top VCs.
Sequoia Capital partner Shaun Macquire has said that he stands with India in its response to the Pahalgam attacks, in which 26 civilians in India were killed after ascertaining their Hindu identity. “Their strategy is to provoke you with terrorist attack after terrorist attack,” he posted on X referring to Pakistan. “And then when you finally respond, they portray you as the villain. I stand with India,” he wrote, while also sharing the Indian flag.

Maguire also criticized some of the reporting by outlets like Al Jazeera on the attacks. “Al Jazeera is the most accurate news you can find… …except when it comes to India or Israel,” he said. “Where it almost always gets the story backwards. Gain credibility on the topics they don’t care about, to be spent on the topics they do It’s credibility laundering,” he said.
India had carried out precise attacks on 9 terrorist training camps in Pakistan on the night of 6th May. The attacks had been seen as a response to the Pakistan-backed attacks in Pahalgam on 22nd April, which had taken 26 Indian lives.
