The Indian office worker has never had it so good.
A month after ecommerce rival Flipkart had people swooning over its new Bangalore office, Snapdeal has come up with a swanky new workplace of its own. Located in a sprawling 450,000 sq. ft campus in Gurgaon, it can house close to 4,500 employees.
The new facility cost Snapdeal a cool Rs 144 crore.
Snapdeal currently operates from 8 offices in the NCR region, and this large unified facility would help consolidate operations.
The company has seen explosive growth in the past year, and has increased its employee count fourfold. It was rated the 2nd largest startup in India in 2015.
Snapdeal is just a 5 year old company, and the office’s interiors are suitably youthful and fresh.
The working spaces are bright and cheerful.
And conference rooms have tried to break away from the youthful theme with a distinguished red brick look.
In between work, Snapdeal lets you take breaks – and how 😉
The office has arty installations with Indian imagery subtly thrown in.
Indian offices have taken to experimenting with indoor lighting – we aren’t sure what this room is, but it sure looks like a good place to rewind after a hard day’s work.
