TCS Nashik Horror: How A Woman Employee Was Pressured Into Converting Over Threats Of Leaking Intimate Photos

The TCS Nashik conversion case is one of the most stunning stories from corporate India over the last decade, and the more one learns about the details, the more shocking they seem.

A woman employee at TCS Nashik was pressured into converting her religion by threatening to release he intimate photos, Times Now Navbharat reports. As per an FIR in the case, the woman met Danish Shaikh in January 2022. They had both studied at the same college, so they became friends and used to often meet up.

Danish Shaikh, who worked at TCS, assured the woman that he could help her get a job at the company. In July 2022, Danish allegedly forced himself on her, and expressed a desire to marry her. They kept meeting up regularly, and the woman then got a job at TCS.

After she joined the company, the woman says she used to hang out with Danish, Touseef Akhtar and HR manager Nida Khan in the company cafeteria and outside. During these conversations, the trio used to talk about how their religion was superior to hers, and encouraged her to adopt it.

In August 2024, Danish Shaikh forcibly initiated physical relations with the woman. Once Touseef Akhtar got to know of this, he too began pressuring the woman to have physical relations with him. The woman rebuffed his advances, but Touseef used to behave inappropriately with her in the office.

After the woman repeatedly refused their appeals to change her religion, Danish began employing a different tack. He began threatening the woman that if she didn’t covert, he would leak her initiate pictures and make them viral.

In February 2026, the woman was in for another shock. She learnt that Danish was already married. The woman alleges that over a period of four years, the accused coworkers kept insulting her religion, and kept asking her to leave it and adopt their own.

The charges

This woman’s account wasn’t an isolated case. As many as 8 women have come forward from the same office, alleging similar behaviour from the accused. The accused ran WhatsApp groups in which they planned their moves and decided which women to target. Preliminary investigations revealed that the accused targeted young women employees aged between 18 and 25, deliberately identifying those facing financial difficulties during job interviews by collecting details about their family background and household income.

Beyond the sexual crimes, the case takes on a particularly alarming dimension with allegations of in-office religious coercion. Complaints include forcing victims to offer namaz, compelling them to eat beef, and pressuring them to convert to another religion. The male complainant alleged he was repeatedly humiliated for his Hindu beliefs. The accused also forced a male colleague to perform Namaz, disrespecting his religion. Some women victims alleged they were compelled to adopt Islamic practices, including wearing a burqa and observing Ramzan fasts.

The Nashik police sent a 7-member woman team to work undercover at the TCS Nashik office for a period of 42 days, during which they observed the behaviour of the accused and collected evidence. The accused, identified as Asif Ansari, Shafi Sheikh, Shah Rukh Qureshi, Raza Memon, Tausif Attar, and Danish Sheikh, were all working as team leaders in the company and allegedly targeted Hindu employees in a systematic manner, attempting to influence and coerce them into converting to Islam. A seventh accused, a woman, is also under the scanner.
