The Andhra Pradesh government is pulling out all stops to turn the state into a startup hub. After it had announced plans to set up India’s largest startup incubator in Hyderabad earlier this week, it has now announced that it plans to create five world-class incubators in the state. It would spend Rs. 750 crore on these incubators over the next 4 years.
‘Make in India, Made in Andhra Pradesh’ program takes a step ahead today, as the Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu will launch Xiaomi’s first India-manufactured phone in Visakhapatnam. Xiaomi, the Chinese low cost smartphone manufacturer and also the third largest smartphone-maker in the world, will also make announcement about its expansion plans in India in the event, an official press release said on Sunday.
