Monster.com Acquired By Dutch Company For $429 Million

‘Tis the season of big acquisitions. After Microsoft – Linkedin and Verizon – Yahoo, another biggie gets acquired.
Randstad Holdings, an Amsterdam-based human resources and recruitment specialist, announced that it would acquire job hunting portal Monster Worldwide, for $429 million in cash. The NYSE listed company is currently valued at $3.50 per share and interestingly one of the biggest job portals in the world, bigger than its buyer.
