3 More Housing Co-founders Quit Company

Ever since Rahul Yadav’s exit, Housing’s cofounders are leaving, and they are leaving fast. Three other cofounders of the real estate portal, Abhishek Anand, Ravish Naresh and Sanat Ghosh have decided to leave the company. With their exits, only three of the original 12 member founding team are still with Housing.

The departing trio will reportedly work on their own startup. “Abhishek, Ravish and Sanat played an important role in building the foundation of Housing.com. They are moving out to pursue their new dream of starting another new venture. I sincerely thank them for their contributions and wish them the very best. I am sure what they undertake next will be as exciting as Housing,” Housing’s current CEO Jason Kothari told Mint.

Housing’s upper leadership has seen turmoil since the ouster of Rahul Yadav under dramatic circumstances last year. Jason Kothari, a company outsider was then made CEO. Earlier this year, another prominent cofounder, Advitya Sharma had left the company.

Housing had a troubled 2015 after firing over 800 people and deciding to shut down its popular rentals platform. The company, however, has received support from its biggest investor, Softbank, in the form of a fresh Rs. 100 crore of financing earlier this year.
