Tim Cook  Announces Establishment of Apple Centre In Bengaluru

Apple has announced the establishment of a Design and Development Accelerator in Bengaluru, the heart of India’s startups to coincide with the visit of its CEO Tim Cook to India. The iOS App Design and Development Accelerator, which is expected to open in early 2017, will provide support to local app developers and help improve their iOS software, providing one-on-one app reviews. Earlier this year the company had announced a development centre for its mapping services in Hyderabad for 4,500 employees.

At the new centre, Apple experts will lead briefings and provide reviews for developers. The centre would also provide support and guidance on Swift, Apple’s powerful and intuitive programming language. Swift enables developers to write safer, more reliable code, save time and create richer app experiences.

In a press release, the company reported Tim Cook, CEO stating, “India is home to one of the most vibrant and entrepreneurial iOS development communities in the world. With the opening of this new facility in Bengaluru, we’re giving developers access to tools which will help them create innovative apps for customers around the world.”

CEO Tim Cook has already begun his much anticipated tour of India with a pre-dawn visit to the famous Siddhivinayak Temple in Mumbai. He is also scheduled to visit Hyderabad and Bengaluru. There are reports that he may also meet the Prime Minister.
