Wishes do get fulfilled and how. Morgan Freeman’s voice, which has been appreciated, worshipped and celebrated endlessly, is finally going to be used for navigation on the navigation app Waze. And with his voice guiding your way, it’s only going to be a drive worth taking.

The much-vaunted voice that has dispensed steely movie dialogues as sonorously as worldly wisdom is often considered the voice of God.
“Freeman is the latest celebrity voice to be added to Google’s free navigation app, Waze. So now you can rely on Freeman’s dulcet tones to explain that you need to make a left turn in half a mile to get to Starbucks. “, says Entertainment weekly.
Morgan’s baritone is going to come as a breath of fresh air for people who’ve had enough of the drony, and rather too enthusiastic lady at the other end of the navigation device at times.

Alas, the voice navigation isn’t just a side gig for the Shawshank Redemption legend. The voice feature is a marketing tie-in for Freeman’s upcoming film, London Has Fallen (the sequel to Olympus Has Fallen) and will be available for a limited time. Freeman plays the vice president in that movie, and he addresses you, the driver, as if you’re the president, which is a bit odd – sort of like non-sexy commuter roleplay with Morgan Freeman.
