TCS Rated World’s Most Valuable IT Company

Indian IT consulting giant Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has been rated as the world’s most valuable IT company by the London based brand valuation firm, Brand Finance.

In the same survey, overall, apple was rated as the most valuable brand across all categories, followed by Google, which according to its financial valuation was recently established as most valuable company in the world.

TCS was rated on parameters like familiarity, staff satisfaction, loyalty and corporate reputation and it emerged as the winner with a cumulative score of 78.5 points, earning it an AA+ rating, and beating thousands of world’s top brands. TCS is also the only Indian company to have topped the rating on any category. “TCS is also the fastest growing brand within its industry over the last 6 years. The company’s overall brand value has increased from US $2.34 billion in 2010 (when the first evaluation of the TCS brand was conducted) to US $9.04 billion in 2016; a growth rate of 286%,” says a company press release .

The Indian company which also is the largest IT employer in India, has a huge presence in other countries too with over 100 offices in more than 20 countries. A part of the Tata group, India’s largest industrial conglomerate, TCS has over 344,000 consultants in 46 countries.

“TCS’ customer focus has been central to its recent success, but a closer look at our data shows strong and improving scores for brand investment and staff satisfaction too,” said David Haigh, CEO, Brand Finance.
