Elon Musk has long been lamenting about the world’s underpopulation crisis, but he appears to be on a personal mission to solve it.
Elon Musk has had yet another child with Neuralink executive Shivon Zilis, Bloomberg reports. Musk already has had a pair of twins with Zillis, who serves as the Director of Operations and Special Projects at Musk’s company Neuralink. The latest child brings up the known number of Elon Musk’s children to an impressive 12.
Interestingly, the mother of Musk’s latest child, Shivon Zilis, is half Indian, having been born to a Indian immigrant mother and a Caucasian father in Canada. Zilis was born in Ontario Canada in 1986 to Richard and Sharda, who was a Punjabi immigrant from India. Zilis looks largely white. “I just got the big eyes from the Punjabi side,” she’d said in an interview to USA Today.
The latest birth takes up the number of Musk’s known children to 12 with three different partners. Musk had had a boy with his first wife Justine Wilson in 2002, but the infant passed away at 10 weeks old. Musk then had a pair of twins with Justine Wilson in 2004, and later followed it up with triplets with Wilson in 2006. Musk then divorced Wilson, married actress Talulah Riley twice, and briefly dated Amber Heard. He then began dating musician Grimes, had two children with her. Musk then had twins with Shivon Zelis, a senior executive at Neuralink, a company that he’d founded. Last year, Musk had had another child with Grimes, whom he’d named Techno Mechanicus. Now it appears that Musk has had another child with Shivon Zilis, taking his tally up to 12.
And Musk seems to be putting his money, amongst other things, where his mouth is. He has been repeatedly warning about declining birth rates, and has said that population collapse is the greatest threat facing humanity today. He’s repeatedly urged people to have more children, and has made no bones about the fact that his own brood is part of that effort. “Doing my best to help the underpopulation crisis. A collapsing birth rate is the biggest danger civilization faces by far,” he’d tweeted after the birth of his 9th child.
Musk, of course, has been looking to save humanity in other ways. He’s helping prevent climate change by building clean cars through Tesla, and is looking to make humanity multiplanetary through SpaceX in the event earth goes through a cataclysmic event. And after having personally fathered 12 children, Musk seems to be just as enthusiastically solving the underpopulation problem as well.
