Elon Musk, Mark Zuckerberg Appear To Have Agreed To Fight Each Other In A Cage Match

If you thought the last few years have been strange, things are just getting weirder still.

Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg appear to have agreed to fight each other in a cage match. The unlikely situation between two of the richest people on earth was brought about by a seemingly innocuous tweet, which claimed that Zuckerberg-owned Meta was building a competitor to Twitter, which is owned by Elon Musk. Musk didn’t take kindly to the suggestion. “I’m sure Earth can’t wait to be exclusively under Zuck’s thumb with no other options,” he sardonically tweeted.

But things took a turn when a random Twitter account — with all of 36 followers — told Musk to be careful of Zuckerberg. “Better be careful Elon Musk I heard he does the Ju Jitsu now 😆” they tweeted. Last month, it had been reported that Zuckerberg had taken part in a Jui Jitsu tournament, and even won some medals.

But Musk had an unexpected response. “I’m up for a cage match if he is lol,” he tweeted.

Over the next few hours, Musk seemed to up his rhetoric against Zuckerberg. “Zuck my 👅” he replied to an article which had talked about Zuckerberg’s “masterplan” to kill of Twitter.

He also responded “true” to a meme which was highlighting the privacy concerns around Twitter’s products.

It appears that all this tweeting didn’t go unnoticed by Mark Zuckerberg. Zuckerberg responded, but on a platform he owned — Instagram. Zuck took a screenshot of Musk’s cage fight challenge, and said posted a story saying “send me location”.

Musk saw the story . “If this is for real, I will do it,” he tweeted.

Zuckerberg’s story is indeed real. Since then, Musk has specified a location for the fight (Vegas Octagon), and even discussed his combat strategies. “I have this great move that I call “The Walrus”, where I just lie on top of my opponent & do nothing,” he tweeted.

It’s not clear if the cage match will actually take place, but you couldn’t have expected this conversation to take place either, so one can’t be too surprised if Musk and Zuckerberg actually end up brawling with each other in a cage match. If the fight does happen, it could end up being an enthralling contest. Musk is significantly bigger than Zuckerberg, standing at 6 feet and three inches, compared to Zuckerberg’s more diminutive five-feet eight. Zuck, though, has an age advantage — he’s 39, while Musk is relatively more senior at 51. Zuck has also been sharing updates on his workouts and jiu jitsu medals, while Musk has said that the only workouts he manages to get are throwing his kids in the air, so Zuck — at least currently — might be better prepared for a physical bout.
