Jio Launched, Airtel & Idea Stocks Crashed & Twitter Did Its Thing

In a landmark move by Mukesh Ambani, the much awaited mobile network Jio was officially announced. With it’s free voice calls for life, no roaming charges and cheap data tariff, sure as hell, it’s going to disrupt the telecom industry in India. Rival telecom players Airtel, Vodafone, Idea and others already have a lot to worry about, and their stocks have reflected the panic. Meanwhile conspiracy theories have also emerged on how the Jio logo looks like Oil spelled backwards. Everyone’s excited, and the Twitteratti of course have spoken.

While The World Was Excelling in Sports, They Excelled in Excel

While the world was glued to the biggest sporting event, the Olympics in Rio, a smaller bunch of people were competing to prove their skills in Microsoft Excel. (And Word and PowerPoint.)
And instead of the massive stadiums, the courts, and mysterious-green pools of Rio, sat rows of computers loaded up with every Good Employee’s 3 best friends: Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
